Marion Rampal is a singer, songwriter. She was born in Marseille in 1980.
She studied piano and flute in childhood, rocked by her musical lover family's tastes : Ellington, Coltrane, Gershwin ... As a teenager, she discovered the singing and acting.
In 1998 she founded the band WeshWesh with François Richez, with in she co-composed the music and wrote the lyrics.
From 2002 to 2004 she studied at the Conservatory of Marseille and the IMFP (Jazz).
She rides a sextet project in tribute to the first soundtracks of Walt Disney's movies : The Fragile Super Kali & Sticks, in collaboration with the guitarist and composer Remy Jouffroy.
For the "Jeunesses Musicales de France", she created with Benjamin Rando, pianist, "I Got Plenty !", a musical and narrative adaptation of the opera "Porgy & Bess" by G. Gershwin.
She participated in many projects of cabaret, theater and contemporary art, as singer or narrator, in particular with the collectives "territory.3" and "La Force Molle".
Since 2005, she worked in several productions of Nine Spirit Company, under the artistic direction of Raphael Imbert : Le Sixtine Group, the show "In the beginning," and various jazz bands.
In 2007, Nine Spirit Company produced her own creation : "VIRAGO OWN". A project of song-writting, which theme is a symbolic evocation of feminine archetypes in the great mythologies.
Since 2008 she is a part of the new quartet of the pianist and composer Perrine Mansuy, with whom she co-wrote the album "Inner Smile"... to be released ...
And works in a new pop folk song book with Francis Richez (ex WeshWesh), We Used To Have A Band ...
