Nalle formed in the summer of 2004 and is based in Glasgow, Scotland. The band features Hanna Tuulikki (vocals, kantele, flutes), Aby Vulliamy (viola) and Chris Hladowski (bouzouki, clarinet). All three group members also perform with Scatter, and Chris and Aby also play in The One Ensemble of Daniel Padden, amongst other projects. Rock Nalle begyndte sin karriere i slutningen af 1950'erne i Odense. Han spillede i midten af 1960'erne i en række fynske grupper, bl.a. Les Amis. I 1966-67 brød han igennem med sit band The Big Sound. I slutningen af 1960'erne opgav Rock Nalle sin musikalske karriere, og genoptog sit arbejde som slagtersvend. I 1970'erne begyndte Rock Nalle at optræde igen, og indspillede i 1977 bl.a. "Go'e gamle fru Olsen" (en dansk oversættelse af Little Richards "Good Golly Miss Molly"), der blev et hit.
